W.I.T.S. Comparison for Hosting vs. Educational License Program

Hosting Benefits of the W.I.T.S. Course

College/University Responsibilities:

• NO COST to school if a course does not run
• Collect the registrations
• List in the school catalog
• Assign a classroom for the lecture
• Assign a practical lab [i.e. fitness center]
• Pay an invoice at the end of class to W.I.T.S.
  1. W.I.T.S. will be paid per student
  2. College receives a minimum $100 per student
     * Option for the school to adjust up for their target
     fees and needs.

W.I.T.S Responsibilities:

• Provide qualified teachers
• Provide qualified testers for the written and the practical skills.
• Grade and issues all results from the exams
• Issue the national certification for successful completion of both exams.
• Aid in marketing to area health clubs, corporate fitness centers, hospital wellness centers, city recreation centers, massage schools and nursing home care units.
• Talk to health club fitness directors and staff to establish a direct link for training their staff and creating a link for graduates of the programs to get employment.
• Invoice at the end of each course or workshop.
• Pay all instructor fees and taxes.
• Provide a certificate of insurance yearly.
• Include the courses on our web site.

License Option Benefits of the W.I.T.S Course

College Responsibilities:

• Pay W.I.T.S. per certification course [a one time fee]
• Pay W.I.T.S. a 20 percent royalty fee.
• Hire qualified teachers and testers for each certification course.
• Set up teacher schedules to lead the lectures and the practical lab. We strongly suggest a 10-1 student to teacher ratio for the practical labs]
• Set up tester schedules with student’s individual practical exams.
• Set up a proctor for the written exam.
• Market the certification course to its community.
• Pay its teachers and testers whatever they deem appropriate.

W.I.T.S Responsibilities:

• To provide a complete teachers manual with lesson plans, students outlines, overheads, Power Point, quizzes, final exams, practical exams, case scenarios and business forms.
• Provide any updates to the materials and lessons each year.
• Grade all written exams.
• Send out all results to individual students.
• Issue the national certification for successful completion of both exams.
• Include the school site with the national mailer.
• Include the courses on our web site.
