W.I.T.S. has added Tawana McNeill, another new teacher from the great state of North Carolina. We are looking forward to having a tremendous Certified Personal Trainer & health educator work with the future fitness leaders of tomorrow.
Tawana McNeill is an experienced fitness professional with over 10 years in the fitness industry. She is originally from Brooklyn, NY, and has lived in Charlotte, NC, for nearly a decade. Tawana got her start in the fitness industry in 2008 when she became a certified personal trainer. Her approach to health & wellness is holistic and her greatest accomplishments are seeing the people she works with achieve their healthy lifestyle goals.
Tawana has a MS Degree in Exercise Science & Health Promotion (with a concentration in Rehabilitation Science) from California University of Pennsylvania and several, nationally accredited certifications, including:
- Certified Personal Trainer
- Corrective Exercise Specialist
- Performance Enhancement Specialist
- Fitness Nutrition Specialist
- USAW Level 1 Coach
In addition to working with personal training clients, Tawana also leads educational seminars and workshops at local gyms, churches and small businesses on various topics including functional training, strength training, mobility and active aging. Teaching is one of her passions and she thrives in settings where her knowledge, skills and experience can be shared with and utilized by others.
When Tawana is not running her personal training company, she will likely be found working out, hiking, cooking, writing, or spending time with her family. Fitness is the foundation of Tawana’s life; her ultimate goal is to ensure that as many people as possible have access to the information, tools and support they need to stay healthy and strong for a lifetime.
