Eliminating the Fear of Working With Special Populations
Many clients present to us today have variety of ailments or special conditions causing us to wonder “Am I the right trainer to work with you?” Working with special populations doesn’t have to be scary. In fact, it can be quite rewarding to help a client with a unique concern reach their fitness goals. In this webinar, we will discuss the attributes of a client that requires a customized approach. In addition, we will look at ways to develop alternative screening tools for a thorough fitness assessment and health history. Through this process we will develop ways to communicate better with clients and their other health care providers to develop their ideal fitness program.

Presenter: Abby Eastman Ms. Ed. ACSM C-EP, ERYT-200 Abby Eastman has been a WITS faculty member since 2007. She holds a BS and MS Ed in Exercises Science and has taught exercise science classes at the university and community college level. Currently she serves as online faculty for WITS. She works as a personal trainer and yoga teacher, fusing the two specialties to meet the needs of her clients.
