Do you struggle with identifying muscle imbalances in the body or lack the tools to correct them? Join us for a four-day mini-course covering all components of Corrective Exercise with science based solutions. **A special series by The Program Design Club**
Topics include:
• Background and science
• Understanding, selecting, and implementing simple assessments
• An easy-to-follow system to quickly identify weaknesses and choose the best exercises for each client (including Special Populations modifications)
• Corrective exercise demos and discussion
• Case studies - from assessments through program design and re-testing
• A Master Assessment list, with notes on: test selection, results, interpretation, and programming
Day-by-Day Breakdown:
Day 4 - putting it all together with case studies (general pop, older adults, athletes, occupational issues), including a "master" case study with six months of programming including initial and follow-up assessment results, program design variables, focus on precautions and modifications for special populations, plus tips on dealing with limitations/restrictions/creative alternatives, advice on how to pitch corrective exercise to varying demographics and how to start implementing corrective exercise with your clients!
This course is designed for both Corrective Exercise Specialists and those who have limited experience but strive to provide more complete programs for their clients. Our goal is to quickly learn the tools to relieve pain, reduce risk of injury, and improve posture for ALL clients. You'll be ready to apply the new system immediately!
Presenter: Ashley Davidock
Ashley is a NASM CPT who holds many specialty certifications, including: W.I.T.S. Medical Fitness Specialist, NASM CES/PES/BCS, TBMM CES, Concept 2, TPI, IBBFA Barre, and several older adult certifications. She specializes in science-based program design, conducting biomechanical analysis and customized corrective exercise programming with clients ranging from professional athletes to the aging population. Ashley currently serves as the Certification Director for W.I.T.S. and leads the Program Design Club.
